Commitment to quality assurance

Accreditation

Since 2023, we are institutionally accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), a quality assurance agency listed on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

Institutional accreditation revolves around the institution as a whole, unlike programmatic accreditation that revolves around certain programs only. BAC’s accreditation standards are based on the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and strongly emphasize outcome-based performance, institutional governance and quality assurance systems.

Since 2023, we are institutionally accredited by the Association for Transnational Higher Education Accreditation (ATHEA), a registered affiliate of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

Since 2023, our Professional Master programs at the Barcelona, Madrid and Online campuses are accredited through the Cualificam procedure of the ‘Fundación para el Conocimiento Madri+d’, a quality assurance agency listed on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

The following programs received specialized programmatic accreditation:

Since 2016, several programs at our main campus in Zurich and at our branch campuses in Antwerp, Barcelona and Brussels are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States of America. Our other campuses in Amsterdam, Geneva, Madrid, Milan and Tokyo are considered educational sites under our accredited main and branch campuses.

Since 2010, several programs at the Amsterdam, Antwerp, Barcelona, Brussels, Geneva, Madrid, Milan, Tokyo and Zurich campuses are accredited by the European Council for Business Education (ECBE), a registered affiliate of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

The following programs received specialized programmatic accreditation:

Since 2022, our campuses in Antwerp, Barcelona, Brussels, Zurich and Online are authorized by Coventry University to organize university-validated programs resulting in a dual degree. Coventry University is accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in the United Kingdom, and is authorized to deliver UK state-recognized degrees.

Since 2019, our branch campus in Barcelona is a registered center with Pearson, an organization regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in the United Kingdom, and is authorized to deliver UK state-recognized qualifications.

The following dual-qualification programs were approved:

• Undergraduate Certificate in Business Studies (60) + Undergraduate (Level 5) Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business
• Undergraduate Diploma in Business Studies (120) + Undergraduate (Level 5) Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business (Management)

Our campus in Amsterdam was certified in 2017 for inclusion in the “Centraal Register Kort Beroepsonderwijs“, the national registry of educational institutions offering professional education.

Our campuses in Geneva and Zurich are certified since 2013 by EduQua, the Swiss quality label for further education.

Our campuses in Antwerp and Brussels are registered since 2015 with the “Agentschap Innoveren en Ondernemen” department from the Flemish Ministry of Economic Affairs as an education provider in the “KMO-portefeuille” subsidy program (registration number DV.O104194).

Our campus in Amsterdam was awarded the quality label in 2017 from the “Nederlandse Raad voor Training en Opleiding“, the trade association for private educators in the Netherlands, in recognition of the quality and professional level of service offered to students.

Our campuses in Antwerp and Brussels are certified since 2015 by Qfor, a European quality label for training institutions.

Rankings

We are rated as a 4-star institution by QS based on our performance in all categories. UIBS also scored the full 5 stars on teaching, academic development and program strength. UIBS further excelled in employability and online learning. UIBS is the only institution rated by QS in Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands.

Our Master in Financial Management degree program was ranked in the Global Top 200 in the 2022 QS Business Masters ranking.

Our Master in International Management (MIM) degree program, was ranked in the Global Top 150 in the 2022 QS Business Masters ranking.

Our Master in Marketing Management degree program was ranked in the Global Top 150 in the 2022 QS Business Masters ranking.

Our Master in Supply Chain Management degree program was ranked in the Global Top 100 in the 2022 QS Business Masters ranking.

Our Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program was ranked in the Global Top 300 and the European Top 100 in the 2022 QS MBA ranking.

Our Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program was ranked as a Tier One program in the 2020 CEO Magazine Global MBA ranking.

Our Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree program was ranked 41st in the 2020 CEO Magazine Global Executive MBA ranking.

Our Online Master of Business Administration (OMBA) degree program was ranked 4th in the 2020 CEO Magazine Global Online MBA ranking.

Our Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) degree program was ranked as a Premier program in the 2019 CEO Magazine Global DBA ranking.
